Setting the table...

Here's most of what I'm preparing to do for the Eldar:

A storm serpent resin copy made by an aquaintance, a phantom titan cobbled together from different sets of parts, and most of the eldar collected together (plus 4 of my buildings, I hope to get more).  I still have a few other pieces to assemble and add over the next couple of days.  I hope to start painting in ernest by next week.

Epic Armageddon is a fair game, and there are certainly other rules available, but I do enjoy gaming at 6mm scale and since these are minis used with EA, I'll stick with that for now.  It really gives a true feeling of a battle on the tabletop.  No one I know around my area plays Epic, so for the time being, this is just a hobby project.  Like all things GW, it is not cheap (overpriced would be the correct term), but every single piece of Epic I am using I did not get from GW directly.  eBay and trades on gaming sites are the way to go.  I spent less than $50 on this whole collection (not including postage for trades I made).  I don't think I want to know how much this would have cost if I got it directly from the evil empire.

I keep telling myself that I am going to do some Imperial Guard or Orks next, but that's some time off, so we'll see how this goes and worry about what's next when that time comes.

  1. Which area do you live in? There are always Epic players hiding here and there around each each hobby community. There is even an online registry of folks that play specialist games. If you are in California, There is a growing community.
